I love travelling a lot. I wanted to explore the countryside hamlets of Spiti (Hp) during winters. I started looking for co travelers who were willing to go on an adventurous trip and share the expenses. It was during this trip I met the love of my life. I found not just my travel partner but my life partner too. When I looked at him my heart skipped a beat .Just like the cold gentle breeze he came into my life and wrapped me in his warmth and made my days sunny. We explored the snow clad mountains and scenic beauty together. We spoke, we fought, we laughed, we kissed and made beautiful memories and welcomed New Year together. When the trip ended we knew we had fallen for each other and were in love. Falling in love was the easy part. What came next was how we fostered that love. Love got tested by time and other stressors, and we slowly begin to grasp what growing in love meant. Nothing in life that is worthwhile comes easy. Not even love. They say “Love is an eternal journey of two souls”. While we had our highs, we also had our lows. Through all the days, good and bad, we learnt to grow in love with each other. He has taught me to be grateful for small things, big things and everything in between. He make me smile despite the miles .He is the sunshine that brightens my life. He is my home and adventure .He is the center of my world and whole of my heart. I love being crazy and silly with him. I have found both love and friendship in him. Life has become more beautiful since the day he has entered my life. I never want to stop making memories with him. I will always want to there for him through thick and thin.

I met my wife first time through some relatives. She and her family lived in a different city. My maternal uncle sent the proposal to my family and her parents came to visit us first and see and meet me. They also saw a couple of other boys and then invited us to come, meet and see her daughter. My Mother had gone to meet my maternal grandmother and they were pushing us to visit. My father wasnt well so we planned to go a little later. However somehow it just happened that I went to meet her with my uncle and Aunt and we all went to my inlaws(would be) place to see her. We were made to sit in another room for speaking with each other personally. We were also served snacks in the same room and I found it a little funny that they served the snacks in a single plate for both of us as if they were sure that this would go through. After seeing the girl we went back to my maternal uncles place and gave a message that we shall go back to our town and give a reply. However my maternal uncle who had sent the proposal was pushing us hard to give the reply there it self as my would be inlaws said that if you refuse we have another boy who was coming to see the girl but since we were coming they asked them to come later. However my uncle said we will discuss it with my Dad and then give a reply. I was also not very sure though I had liked the girl but had a few doubts in my mind. Finally it was just an hour for our train to leave and we were getting ready to leave to the station when my maternal uncle called me alone to speak with him. He asked my what doubts do I have and why cant I reply now. I said I need to meet the girl again to make a decision. However my would be inlaws said that she has gone for her exams and she will come back only after a couple of hours which would be after our train had left. so everything got cancelled and we were about to leave for the station just when my uncle called me again and told me that I give you a guarantee about the girl and all the doubts you have discuss with me. I did that and he somehow convinced me to say yes. I asked my Mom and she also said I can go for it. Finally I spoke with my Dad and said yes and finally they decided to get us engaged the next day. Inspite of all the yes and no's and to think that we had almost caught the train and that would have been the end of this story I strongly believe that some things are just meant to be and bound to happen and they will happen no matter what. Marriages are made in Heaven. That whole night I spoke with my fiancee over the telephone and we became very good friends. It took us a few months to know each other well and fall in love but till date we both share the same love and friendship. Inspite of being married for 21 years now and the parents of two teenage kids to us it just seems like yesterday when we met.........I want to win this trip for her because she wants to see the world.......

Like a typical Bollywood movie style when the guy falls in love with the girl, the pair is surrounded by rain, music and flowers.... Our story is also similar to this kind. We were welcomed with the nature whenever we met like the first meeting was in a drizzling rain and then in our next meet we were unexpectedly welcomed by way of a candle light dinner as the electricity was not there ...the first time I was happy that about that !!! It turned out to be our memorable date for us and then our journey begin .... followed by our marriage. Its been now 9 years that we are married and blessed with a beautiful girl who made our lives complete.... Every anniversary we travel and cherish the day this december our 10th anniversary so hoping that we will be welcomed in Vietnam "Xin chào Vietnam" :)
