I. Program Description
VietJet is offering 50 free round-trip flight tickets to Vietnam for young-minded Indian with a passion for arts, culture, or nature. This unique opportunity allows young-minded Indian to explore their interests and engage in cultural exchange.
II. Eligibility
- Nationality: Indian citizen or legal resident of India
- Interests: Demonstrated passion for arts, culture, nature, photography, culinary arts, or music (through a short essay and/or portfolio submission)
- Additional Merit: Preference given to participants with demonstrated financial need or outstanding academic records.
III. Prize
- 50 Round-Trip Flight Tickets:
- Eco class on Vietjet Air
- Destinations: Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, or Kochi (India) to Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City or Da Nang (Vietnam)
- Travel Period: Subject to availability, from October 2024 to March 2025, excluding peak travel periods
IV. Application Process
- Online Submission: Complete the submission form at loveconnection.vietjetair.com by the specified deadline.
- Required Documents:
- Short essay (200 words – 500 words) with photos outlining your aspirations and how this trip will benefit your future:
- Your aspirations of your travel to Vietnam
- How a trip to Vietnam would enhance your growth
- Photos/videos to illustrate your story (5 photos, each of which does not exceed 5MB, or 1 video, each of which does not exceed 200MB)
- Nice to have: Proof of enrollment/acceptance to a vocational institute if applicable + Further academic record/Portfolio showcasing your work in your chosen field to support your essay (upload on participant’s shared link)
- Selection: VietJet will select winners based on a combination of:
- Essay quality and demonstrated passion
IV. Application requirements
- Participants share their applications, following (V) How to Enter
- Submissions approved by the Organizer will receive an announcement via email. After fulfilling all required steps, the entry will be marked as approved.
- By applying, participants represent and guarantee that they own the rights of all the documents submitted, and sharing it does not violate the rights of any third parties.
- Photos/video/portfolios must be of good quality (5 photos, each of which does not exceed 5MB, or 1 video, each of which does not exceed 200MB) and suitable for the program; no crude, political, religious, or offensive photographs and content (in the applied destination country) will be accepted.
- participants whose unique and meaningful entries have received the highest number of votes on the contest website and their personal social networks, and who have been selected by the Evaluation Board, will be awarded the Love Connection - Dreams Take Flight 2024 return flight tickets India – Vietnam (*)
- (*) The return Vietjet flight ticket between India & Vietnam, includes all fares airport tax & surcharges plus 7kg of carry-on bag and 20kg of checked luggage. Participants must comply with the Conditions of Carriage, self-prepare all visa applications and accommodation, all means of other transportation. In case of any modification, winners have to pay extra fees based on flight terms & conditions.
- Participants are required to have a personal email and Facebook/Instagram account and must be followers of Vietjet Facebook/ Instagram fan pages. Only one entry is allowed per account holder.
V. Additional Terms
- Non-Transferable: Prizes are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
- Not Included: Visa fees, accommodation, meals, and other travel expenses are the responsibility of the winner.
- Promotional Activities: Winners are asked to participate in VietJet's promotional activities (e.g., sharing their experience on social media).
- Modification/Termination: Vietjet reserves the right to modify or terminate the program at any time.
VI. How to Enter
- Step 1 - Visit: loveconnection.vietjetair.com
- Step 2 - Register: Create an account or log in with your Facebook/Google account to share short description of motivation (up to 1,000 words) with photos of your study dreams in Vietnam (5 photos, each of which does not exceed 5MB, or 1 video, each of which does not exceed 200MB).
- Optional: Upload your link drive included documents demonstrating your motivation, academic merit, financial need to support your story (CV, Cover letter, academic records, portfolio, letter of introduction from schools, etc.)
- Step 3 - Share: Share your submission on social media with #vietjet #LoveConnection #Dreamstakeflight for a chance to gain additional visibility.
V. Odds of winning and miscellaneous notes
Criteria of winning participants:
- Getting a high number of votes which will be counted for registered accounts on the website for the entry (40%)
- Getting high scores by following the criteria of the juries by Vietjet (60%) (*)
1. Meaningful stories for good causes and essential matters (30%)
- Entries about good causes that inspire through their rationale, candid nature, and essential matters, or that come from stories of real motivation about a person's wish to reveal an unrivaled passion for beautiful destinations, the people, and the culture in Vietnam.
2. Viral effectiveness (40%)
- Get a high number of votes, share widely, and generate positive feedback both on the contest website and social networking sites.
3. High-quality storytelling content and photographs (30%)
- Submission’s content (story description and photos) that is highly invested to be unique, creative, and distinctive.
- Accepted languages of submission: English or Hindi
- Additional merit: Academic merit (if applicable) and Financial need (if applicable)
VII. Winner Selection & Notification
- After receiving the final results, each winner will be notified by email while results will also be published on the website. Before claiming the prize, the winner must provide his/her correct name, address, telephone number, and scanned passport at the time of notification within seven (7) days.
- The Organizer will contact the registered email of the winners to announce they have win and send supporting information so they can claim the prize within 10 working days from the announcement date.
- If a winner cannot be notified within seven (7) days, or does not timely inform the organizer with the correct information to claim his/her prize, then the prize will be awarded to an alternate winner with the next highest score, selected from the remaining valid entries.
- 1. Announce Timeline: Tentatively, winners will be selected monthly and notified via email.
- 24/09/2024: Winners of submission of first batch 2024
- 24/10/2024: Winners of submission of second batch 2024
- 24/11/2024: Winners of submission of third batch 2024
- End of December 2024: Winners of submission of final batch 2024 + Special Winners voted by Vietjet and Online engagement
- Each winner will receive return flight tickets operated by Vietjet between India and Vietnam
- Within 3 days from the announcement date (announced on loveconnection.vietjetair.com/winners list and Vietjet Facebook fan-page as well as in an email sent to the winners), the winners must confirm and inform the organizer with the correct information by replying to the Announcement Email from Vietjet to claim his/her prize.
- Each winner is responsible for paying for visa application fees, accommodation, and all other costs arising during the journey. (*)
- (*) Qualified winners who cannot receive a visa or have any issues related to receiving a visa can contact our Vietjet fan page to receive support.
- Each winner must provide personal information and share images during the journey with our website: www.loveconnection.com for branding purposes.
- In claiming this prize, each winner acknowledges that Vietjet has the right to publicize his/her information and publicly announce that you are the winner for all purposes (commercial and/or non-commercial without financial remuneration.
- All participants have to cooperate with Vietjet for Brand communication purposes in media.
- Other rules will be decided by Vietjet following the contest program.
VII. Organizer (Vietjet)'s rights and responsibilities
- Vietjet has the right to decline any entries or delete the result at any time if the result is deemed not suitable with the contest standards or related to fraudulent activities without notice.
- Vietjet has the right to publish winners’ provided information for branding/communication purposes without financial remuneration on all channels with no time limit.
- If there are any changes in the rules of the program, Vietjet will announce in advance at loveconnection.vietjetair.com/TermsAndConditions
- Vietjet is responsible for keeping all personal information confidential for campaign purposes and will not inform third parties.
- Vietjet reserves the right to pause, alter, or add rules and make contest changes, and change the aforementioned contest date at any time before the end of the program (by updating the Terms and Conditions of the program and Vietjet Facebook, Instagram fan-page).
- Vietjet is not responsible for any computer or electronic malfunction, server unavailability, technological glitch, or human error relating to this contest and/or the loss of participants’ data due to unintentional problems; Vietjet reserves the right to make changes or cancel the program and announce to the participants as soon as possible.
- The organizer is only responsible for transporting the winners at the departure airport (not including transportation from home to the airport for the winner)
- In all cases of disputes and complaints, the decisions of the Organizer/Vietjet will be final.
Organizer will not deal with any requests related to the program after December 31, 2024.
VIII. General rules
- By joining the program, all participants acknowledge that they have confirmed that they have read, understood and agreed to follow the rules of the program.
- All participants are completely responsible for their provided personal information; the organizers will not solve any cases related to participants providing inaccurate or incomplete information.
- All participants acknowledge all legal responsibility for their images under the law of their home country and other countries they are traveling to.
- By joining the program, all participants acknowledge that they have good physical and mental health, and they are responsible for their own health and well-being during the whole program and reward trip.
- The official and valid announcement of Organizer will only be sent from noreply@ses.vietjetair.com.
- In case of any dispute or complaint related to the contest, the Organizer will directly solve the issue and Vietjet’s decision is final.
- The images and contents of the participants must not violate the traditions and customs of Vietnam and/or India, or violate Vietnamese and Indian cultural laws, and must not contain any reactionary political and/or religious contents.
- There will be no substitutions or cash alternatives for any prize awarded. Vietjet has the right to substitute a prize with a reward of similar value. No transfer or re-assignment of prizes is allowed.
