Well it was peak COVID when I went to see her, a tradition followed in India before match making in arranged marriages. Mine is an arranged marriage and I never thought I would get married to her. It all started when I got a text from her father saying "Girl and Boy should meet", the sole reason I went to meet her. 4th July was the day I visited her at her sister's place in Pune for us to get to know each other better and it is how we started our first conversation. I fell in love with her during our conversation because she was very genuine and her interests were the same as mine and that is what I wanted in my wife. It was the same for her as well, just like a match made in heaven. People did not believe it to be an arranged marriage as things turned out so well so fast. We started talking over phone, over video calls as if we had known each other for a long period of time. It started from one phone call and ended up getting married. Married to her it feels as if we were made for each other, it feels like we were born for each other. She loves to annoy me without any reason and which leads to a huge fight but we have a pact no fight should last longer than 10 mins and no one is allowed to go to bed in an angry mood. We travel a lot together, we both are travel lovers who love to explore new places , we both are lovers of beach side destinations and that’s why we are planning our honeymoon trip to Vietnam.

I saw her in office for the first time. She looked like an angel and it felt like a dream. She was way too pretty and out of my league. We started talking and my dream came true. I did everything to win her heart. She said yes ! 5 years we were together, hiding from office people as office romance wasn’t allowed, hiding from her parents as we were from different religion, her parents would kill us if they knew. But she didn’t want to hide our love and gathered her strength to tell her parents. We knew the outcome and her parents did not agree. She chose to sacrifice our love and obey her parents as we could not abandon the family and be selfish for ourselves. We don’t talk anymore , It is been 3 years and there isn’t a single day that I don’t miss her. I have a tattoo of her name on my wrist that I got it for her as a surprise on 14th Feb. I will take that to my grave. I couldn’t survive a day without her, I wished to die. I tried. But I couldn’t see the blame on her. I continued. With her memories. It kept me alive and going. Now I am married to another beautiful girl who has accepted me the way I’m and my past. I’m doing everything in my power to give her the love she deserves. Everything happens for a reason and it is beautiful. Life doesn’t end it seem it would. There is always hope. Life is beautiful.

Ours is a fast yet slow transition, from hooking up to being “just friends” to now living together for last three years. It all started from when a mutual friend hooked us up for a casual fling and it went from sharing memes on snapchat and escalated to 2AM talks later. It was that time of the night when it popped “I found you” on my phone. We’ve had different stages in our relationship from hooking up to situationship to friend zoning each other and finally getting into a relationship. When we were at the first stage we didnt really had to wait for the other person to make the first move but when it came to finally admitting the love we both were so reluctant to break our walls and ‘no relationships agenda’ that we took two years of being in love to finally be in a relationship when Aahna finally went down on her knees and proposed me. Initially we had a lotttt of obstacles because we honestly had so many flings and exes to cut off with when we were head over heels for each other, that actually took a lot of time lol. It’s actually quite confusing when it comes to tell other people about the period of our relationship because its been five years since we were fuck buddies, four since we confessed our love to each other and were in a super confused ‘situationship’ and three years since Aahna finally proposed and we got into a relationships and within three months of which we shifted to mumbai together. And we have no plans of getting married any time before we attain the success we shifted to Mumbai for. The most common interest we have is to be successful enough to travel the entire world hand in hand. As hard as it was when we initially started living Together three years ago, from having fights almost everyday and trying to kill each other we have now understood that one of us always has to back down so i have been prepped by Aahna to say sorry even without a reason. We bond the most on travel and good food and we require it 365 days, that’s pretty much all we like to earn for. Ive taken aahna along for dinner with my parents quite a lot of times and they are very much fond of her. Whereas aahna coming from a very conservative family hasnt introduced me her to her family yet but they are aware about the fact that weve been living together. Smile and eyes were the one of the first things that made me fall for aahna. We have both made many sacrifices to be with each other amongst which the biggest would be leaving our families so we could stay together but honestly that turned out pretty well for us on career basis as well, made us so much more compatible too. We’ve had our share of goods and bads in all but all in all we are too grateful for the life we’ve created with each other and around ourselves. All we know is that the bond we have can never be replaced by any amount, ever. Blessed.
